About Venture Crew 7388:

The paperwork to create Venture Crew 7388 was started on or about May 17, 2009.  Shortly after that, it was coordinated with the Arrowhead District of the Baltimore Area Council.

Much of the Crew formation is still in progress.  So far, the following has been completed:

 1) The Chartering Organization, The Baltimore Amateur Radio Club, Inc. (BARC) has made a commitment with the Boy Scouts of America to charter a Venturing crew.

2) An organizing committee has recruited an initial Advisor and Committee for the Crew.  Mr. Marty Pittenger is the Chartered Organization Representative(COR) and will be a committee member.  Mr, Mike Meredith is the Committee Chair Person (CCP), and Mr. Tom Hendricks, is the Crew Advisor.  Additional Committee Members, and Crew Technical Consultants will be added in the future.

3) The COR, CCP, and Crew Advisor have performed their respective Leadership Training for their positions, and completed Venturing Youth Protection training.

Many steps of Crew formation still are in progress:  Potential new venturers will be invited to multiple "open house" or similar events.  Announcements about the formation of the crew will be shared within the district and Scouting entities. Demonstration events such as the Amateur Radio Field Day, and Kids Day, will be given in areas where prospective venturers may see and learn about the Crew.  Information will be shared through a variety of press releases and publication articles within the Amateur Radio community.

Once the initial crew meetings are conducted, and election will be held within the membership to determine the positions of  Crew President, Administrative Vice-President, Program Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer.   Once the Crew officers have been elected and trained they will conduct Crew Planning and presenting the Crew's Program.
